SOH Stages is planning a state of the art theater. All screenings, productions and events will promote the preservation of stage and film history. SOH Stages will present classic movies and live performance in an environment that be reminiscent of the heyday of theaters in Rockland County, the bedroom community of so many celebrities in the 20th Century, it was arguably Hollywood on the Hudson and Broadway North.

Helen Hayes, Ben Hecht, Horton Foote and Carson McCullers all lived within a mile where SOH Nyack operates. Nyack has also been the home to many famous actors of the 21st Century including Rosie O’Donnell, Bill Irwin, and Jonathan Demme.

  As SOH Nyack celebrates the history of the performing art, the venue will be a platform for the future, offering a unique green screen which would be available for the film and television industry.
